Key members of the strategic plan implementation team selected

Pillar champions and foundation team members will play key roles in the Arts & Sciences strategic plan implementation effort.

Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce the selection of its pillar champions and foundation team members. These faculty and staff members will help guide implementation efforts relevant to the four foundational strengths and six strategic pillars outlined in the strategic plan, maintaining shared responsibility for outcomes in these areas. They will also serve on the dean’s implementation committee, reviewing progress of existing efforts and evaluating any proposed new initiatives.

“We were pleased to have received so many strong peer and self-nominations to help spearhead this critical work. We have already seen great progress in the early months of our implementation effort, and these exceptional leaders will play important roles over the next year as our plan continues to advance,” said Feng Sheng Hu, dean of Arts & Sciences. “We are grateful for their engagement and commitment.”

Foundation team members and pillar champions will work collectively to reduce organizational silos and identify productive areas of collaboration throughout their one-year terms. The groups will begin their work in early May, and the Arts & Sciences community is encouraged to reach out to them to share thoughts and feedback throughout the implementation phase.
